"The internet promotes values which are undesirable" do you agree?
Most parents or even communites feels that the intenet, a form of mass media, has a part to play in some of the common negative problems around the world. The most impact that the internet has on the people is on their values,a distinguished feature that one possess that can shape their behaviour and attitude. In recent years, the internet has been exploited in way that has been unacceptable to people. From its main purpose of providing necessary information to people, to instilling values into the people which may be negative. Therefore,my opinion is that the internet promotes values which are undesirable as materialism and consumption are some of the overridding factors that eventually cause a person to have negative values in them.
Profit driven producers may find the internet as a good starting point to being their business, and eventually, they start twisting the truth with exaggerations on their products so that sales would sky rocket thereafter. Such moves includes pop ups at random times to feature men with ideal body figure or women,in tight clothings to display their hour glass figures,has prompted consumers to indulge in products which may in fact,be totally useless to them after all. Such acts by these producers has allowed consumption for health products to rise significantly as a result. Therefore, the internet promotes values which are undesirable when consumption for the good has no use to the consumers at all.
[that's all i did because i fear that if i did more, i would make further mistakes,but i have problems thinking of values which are desirable. i was thinking of greed, not greedy for money but greedy for knowledge,please let me know how do you find this essay, thanks MR LIMMMMMMMMM]

CHINA DAY 1 (13/12/08)
Well, i woke up at like 3.15am and i was hella tired. Before that, i laid in my bed at about 11pm, couldn't sleep for like an hr. Damn. Anyway, i quickly got up and washed up.
What a great time to start the day when i found one insect lying on my crumpler bag, i plucked up courage and took a couple of tissues and tried to kill it. I WON. lol. So My mum was like asking us to pack up quickly and soon we were out of the house like in half an hrs time.
And so, as my family headed to the van to bring us to the airport, i was like...*OH MY GOODNESS WHERE THE HECK IS MY COAT?!* so i quickly ran back home and got my coat. Shortly after, we were at the airport, it was packed even thought it's so early in the morning. Met up with my cousins and relatives soon after. Being the lazy me, i decide not to elaborate on what we did in the airport as it will bore you people out.
Oh yea, the plane ride was so effing uncomfortable. Especially being a male, having obstructions and discomfort at the wrong time,and worst of all, im tall, so the seat was like so small for me. Argh.
After 3 excruciating hrs, i reached CHINA. We were welcomed with a horde of cheena people waiting to get out of the country. Here's a pic to show it.
After we got our luaggage and stuff, we headed to the carpark and got into another van to bring us to the hotel, heres a pic on how the airport in Haikou looks like from outside. It looks like some rundown place.
And so, we met this dude thats gonna be our tour guide. During the journey to the hotel, we came across some place which is said to be linking some area to another area. Sorry for not giving a detailed explaination because what the tour guide was speaking was sorta alien to me and he spoke like a machine gun. So heres like the photos of the construction thang.

And so halfway through the journey, this woman who was on a motorbike was riding so slow in front of us, like shes waiting to suicide or something. So i got a pic of that suicidal woman. At the same time, my dad was like 'stuart! did you see a dude peeing at a corner? ' I shook my head. But when i checked the picture of the suicidal woman, i happened to take a pic of that dirty man peeing in front of the public's eyes.
Yea its the dude at the top left hand corner.
Anyway, we reached the hotel and ate lunch shortly. In the Afternoon we visited some place near the sea and stuff. took some photos and it'll be all in the next post with other miscellaneous photos. And so, at night we shopped for a while...nothing much. Now my relatives and some of my family members went to foot massage. Its so darn itchy that i refused to go along. hah.

Well, today's pretty fun, Ben came over my place at 9.35am to play games, we started off playing Condition Zero with zombies in it. It was fun, just one dude who refuse to shut his gap and started scolding everyone.
Anyway, soon, it was lunch. Before we got out of the house..
Ben said 'Dude, guess what, we're wearing the same shirt(class T-Shirt) down man, we look gay!'
Stuart - 'Oh shucks, should i change? Ah heck, just gobble down the food fast and run off'
And so we headed down to eat, ppl started looking at us, and i started to feel kinda uneasy. BUT WHO CARES. At the food court, Ben and I decided to have the same food, and decided not to order drinks. And so, we sat down, Ben started to look at me and said.
Ben - 'Eh, we ordered the same food,both of us never order drinks,wear the same shirt....uh oh'
Stuart - 'OH MY GOSH, ben eat faster'
So, Aunties from the drinks stall started to ask us if we wanna drink anything, its like, they keep asking and asking, with smiles on their face. damn. but ah well, who cares.
As i was about to finish eating, Ben asked if he could smoke, but i disagreed. He promised not to smoke since a few months ago and im always threatening him so as to prevent him from smoking. And so he started to say...
Ben - 'GAY ARE ALSO PEOPLE WHAT, GAY IS NOTHING WRONG, WHO CARES?!' *talks
louder*
Immediately, the auntie sitting at a table near us looked at me, i was like. speechless. So i ate up my food fast, ran off immediately. And then, on our way back home,near some high rise hdb block, there's this boy(i guess he has nothing better else to do), started to call my name imprinted on the back on the shirt, i turned around, couldn't see anyone, so i reckoned that the dude must be at home shouting. So this was what he said...
