"The internet promotes values which are undesirable" do you agree?
Most parents or even communites feels that the intenet, a form of mass media, has a part to play in some of the common negative problems around the world. The most impact that the internet has on the people is on their values,a distinguished feature that one possess that can shape their behaviour and attitude. In recent years, the internet has been exploited in way that has been unacceptable to people. From its main purpose of providing necessary information to people, to instilling values into the people which may be negative. Therefore,my opinion is that the internet promotes values which are undesirable as materialism and consumption are some of the overridding factors that eventually cause a person to have negative values in them.
Profit driven producers may find the internet as a good starting point to being their business, and eventually, they start twisting the truth with exaggerations on their products so that sales would sky rocket thereafter. Such moves includes pop ups at random times to feature men with ideal body figure or women,in tight clothings to display their hour glass figures,has prompted consumers to indulge in products which may in fact,be totally useless to them after all. Such acts by these producers has allowed consumption for health products to rise significantly as a result. Therefore, the internet promotes values which are undesirable when consumption for the good has no use to the consumers at all.
[that's all i did because i fear that if i did more, i would make further mistakes,but i have problems thinking of values which are desirable. i was thinking of greed, not greedy for money but greedy for knowledge,please let me know how do you find this essay, thanks MR LIMMMMMMMMM]
